David Anderson – Head of Corporate Services / Company Secretary, St John’s Buildings

David joined St John’s Buildings (SJB) in 2008 after five years working at the Bar Council in roles including remuneration policy and as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Bar. His experience includes working on the Bar Council team responsible for the Legal Services Act and the Carter Review of Legal Aid and he continues to hold an interest in the changing legal services market. At SJB David is responsible for strategy, policy and regulatory development, human resources, marketing and communications, facilities and complaints. He is Company Secretary and administers and attends all Board meetings and the AGM.

David is Joint Honorary Secretary of Manchester Law Society and was named in the Management section of the Lawyer Magazine’s “Hot 100″ in 2008.

SJB is one of the largest and most successful Chambers in the country. Current Jordans Chambers of the Year and nominated for The Lawyer Awards’ Chambers of the Year 2017, the set boasts 240 members, 4 sites, 72 staff and saw income increase by 13% per member in 2016.
