Peter Wright, Managing Director, DigitalLawUK

Peter Wright is a leading expert in Data Protection, Privacy, Security, Cloud and Social Media Law. As Managing Director of DigitalLawUK, he advises clients from across the UK and North America and has a strong following in the creative and digital sector.

Prior to opening his legal practice in 2014, Mr. Wright held positions with Shoosmiths LLP and Nabarro LLP and advised HM Government on the successful Defence of a Group Litigation Action with a total liability in excess of £16 billion. His work included reviewing more than 4.5 million files and the disclosure of more than 20,000 individual documents using advanced online document management systems. He has also advised HM Government on Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act matters. Mr. Wright is presently Chair of the Law Society’s Technology & Law Reference Group and is the Law Society Council Member for Yorkshire.

A sought-after speaker, Mr. Wright has led seminars or spoken at numerous organizations. Among them are the International Festival of Business, Wordcamp Conferences for WordPress developers, Chambers of Commerce and Oxford Innovation. He regularly speaks at events for the Law Society and also for legal practitioner groups; including the Commerce and Industry Group, the Small Firms Division and the Lawyers with Disabilities Division.
