Slater and Gordon Crowned ‘Legal Firm of the Year’ at City of Manchester Business Awards

Slater and Gordon has been crowned ‘Legal Firm of the Year’ at the City of Manchester Business Awards.

The annual awards gala celebrates the city’s best private sector companies, as voted for by the public and an expert judging panel. Categories include hospitality, property, digital and law.

The win for Slater and Gordon’s business legal services was all the more special as the team was set up less than 12 months ago.

Stephen Lintott, who heads up the department, said: “We are thrilled to receive this award, particularly in our first year and in a city with such an impressive legal sector.

“We have an incredibly talented and dedicated group of people who go the extra mile for their clients on a daily basis and to know that the public and our peers have voted us as winners is real recognition of that work.”

Based at the firm’s flagship Manchester office, the team includes experts in all aspects of business law including intellectual and commercial property, dispute resolution and employment.

It beat firms from around the region including Berg, Mills and Reeve, Gorvins and Trowers and Hamlins to claim the top spot.

The dinner was attended by business leaders from across the region as well as the new mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham who also spoke on the night at Manchester’s Principal Hotel.
