Jane Frankland, Owner & CEO (Chair)

Jane Frankland is an award-winning entrepreneur, international speaker and best-selling author. She focuses on business strategy and high performance and is a world authority on attracting and retaining women in cybersecurity. She has been named as the third most influential person in cybersecurity in the UK and a top twenty global influencer.

Jane has over 20-years of experience in cybersecurity, has built and sold her own global hacking firm and served in executive positions at leading cybersecurity consultancies. In addition to managing her own company and parenting three children, she is a judge for three international awards, a board advisor for one of the world’s most prestigious cybersecurity conferences and security magazines. She authors many articles, is regularly featured in the media, and is sought after as a keynote speaker.

Jane is driven to build a more secure world and is obsessive about developing female talent in the industry. It’s why she authored IN Security and created the movement and tribe.


Lisa Forte, Partner, Social Engineering & Cyber Security Expert
Red Goat Cyber Security 

Lisa won the Top 100 Women In Tech Award in December 2018. Having gained her LLM from Bristol University, Lisa Forte worked for the UK Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Services before moving into the Police Cyber-Crime Unit. Here she got to know hackers’ mind sets and methodologies well. The Unit dealt with serious cyber-crime cases working closely with international law enforcement agencies such as the FBI. With her legal background Lisa was often called upon to provide support and expertise in cases involving law firms.

Lisa left in 2017 to start her own company, Red Goat Cyber Security LLP. Red Goat provide GCHQ certified cyber security training for lawyers and staff as well as helping organisations prepare for a cyber-attack through the use of wargaming. Lisa has been actively involved in helping the legal sector develop cyber defences which reflect the needs of the industry. She has written articles for regional law society publications and does pro-bono work in cyber education via the Bristol Law Society. She also frequently writes for business publications and appears as a guest on many business podcasts. Lisa is an experienced cyber-crime keynote speaker having spoken in major conferences around the world.

Mo is one of McAfee’s passionate leaders in cyber security. As a Principle Engineer and at McAfee, Mo inspires our next generation security professionals, helps drive company technical strategy and advises our largest global customers on cyber security strategy and business resilience.

Mo’s passion is to change the way we think about, measure and operate security systems. With that passion and over 20 years of experience, Mo leads our global solution architect program as well as development efforts in security effectiveness testing, value measurement, and integrated security system design. In previous roles at McAfee, Mo was the Chief Security Officer for the Global Public Sector and just prior to joining the company, lead a large Computer Security Incident Response Team detecting and investigating sophisticated cyber threats across the world.


Karl Knowles, Head of IT Service Delivery and Security,
HFW

Karl began his career as a communications engineer in the British Army. At the second half of his career he was employed within multiple information security roles, advising senior military leadership on the global deployment of information and communications systems.

He then built upon this successful 25 year military career moving to consultancy at BSI and then, Deloitte LLP. It was during this time that Karl quickly established himself as a subject matter expert, advising private and public clients towards the development of improved cyber and privacy strategies.

He is a champion of veterans employment and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security.


Ayala Ples, Customer Success Executive,

Ayala leads Tessian’s work with UK and European law firms – she works with IT Directors, Heads of Compliance and DPOs to prevent accidental data loss and spear phishing attacks. Previously, Ayala led Tessian’s growth in the Australian and Nordic legal sectors.

She has also studied and worked in law where she witnessed the volume of sensitive client information processed by email.
