Protecting data in the cloud – lessons learned on securing a remote and collaborative workforce

LegalTech Talks – live on 15th July at 10:30 – 11:30am (BST).

Key takeaways:

  • How can data be protected while using cloud-based collaboration apps?
  • Why does the traditional security model make us all less safe?
  • How has the need for cloud accelerated during the crisis, and what are the lessons learned?
  • Why is security transformation fundamental for securing remote working?

Discussion overview:

The use of collaboration applications such as Microsoft Teams, Slack and Box has rocketed in tandem with the rise in remote working. With these applications hosted in the cloud, and employees no longer in the office, the only approach to provide effective security and data protection is with cloud-based security.

In this session cloud security experts from Netskope are joined by Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), a law firm that’s transforming its security from an on-premises stack to a cloud security platform. The discussion will focus on why a traditional security approach fails to meet the requirement of securing remote workers and the cloud applications they are using; and we’ll hear from HSF about how their security transformation is paying dividends in the current crisis.

Registration for this event is now closed. Subscribe here to keep up to date with future announcements, and to receive access to the recording of this session.
