Netlaw Media’s largest ever law event to take place on 10th October 2017 in London
Following the recent amalgamation of The European Legal Security (ESLF) and The London Law Expo (LLE), more than 2,000 visitors from the world of legal practice management, technology and IT security are due to descend on the Old Billingsgate in London later this year for Netlaw Media’s largest ever law event. The event, which will take place on Tuesday, 10 October 2017, will now feature six presentation stages and will host over 60 expert speakers, and exhibitions by more than 80 leading suppliers.
Two specialist conference chairs will oversee the event’s proceedings, with each focusing on a particular area of legal practice. Event attendees will be able to move freely between both events and all sessions, which will take place across two floors of exhibition space.
The LLE segment of the wider event will be chaired by Professor Stephen Mayson. Its agenda will address the current legal and economic landscape, whilst also addressing the risks and challenges ahead. The event will once again explore internal law firm operations and management strategies, including law firm culture, innovation and individual team structures. The LLE will also play host to the Tech Hub stage, which focuses on the ever-changing legal IT landscape.
With the 2017 event expected to be Netlaw Media’s largest and most important to date, past LLE speakers have included a range of highly respected commercial leaders, legal regulators, economists, futurists, legal technology experts, numerous managing partners and general counsels’. Last year’s LLE presented Redbull F1 Racing team principal Christian Horner OBE. Mr Horner’s 2016 keynote speech was standing room only and offered fascinating insights into his team’s approach to enhanced performance.
Meanwhile, this year’s parallel European Legal Security Forum (ELSF) will focus on issues such as critical response planning, risk mitigation, data breach aftermath and cyber security awareness. Following his well-received 2016 chair and keynote debut, the 2017 ELSF will once again be overseen by IT security industry veteran Graham Cluley. Mr Cluley is perhaps best-known for his many television and media interviews, award winning articles and writing the first ever version of Dr Solomon’s anti-virus toolkit for Windows.
Commenting on the October 2017 event, Frances Armstrong – Netlaw Media’s UK & EMEA Managing Director – said: “Today, running a successful legal practice requires firm leaders to keep abreast of everything from economic trends to legal sector regulation, competitor analysis to IT security. By combining both major law events, we aim to offer attendees of the October 2017 event a one-stop shop overview of the issues they should be focusing on in the years ahead.”
LLE / ELSF2017 event speakers and exhibitors will be announced in the coming weeks and months. To keep up-to-date with the latest news, follow @NetlawMedia and @BritishLegalIT on Twitter or visit www.netlawmedia.com
