BigHand SmartNote and Thomson Reuters MatterSphere come together to offer customers a seamless integrated workflow.

BigHand are delighted to announce their integration between BigHand SmartNote and Thomson Reuters MatterSphere, saving law firms both time and effort in creating routine documents.

In line with SRA regulations, law firms are required to record all file and attendance notes, which are often low-value documents, yet time consuming and costly to create, and are often never referred to again. BigHand SmartNote lifts the burden of manually creating these notes, by fully automating the process from start to finish.

The technology behind BigHand SmartNote is proven to enable firms to realise significant productivity gains resulting in cost and time savings, particularly in regard to document production costs and the associated resource required.

This latest integration between BigHand SmartNote and MatterSphere means that any BigHand dictated files can be automatically converted into a Word document template and stored, alongside the associated recording, in the relevant case file within MatterSphere.

Tom Spelling, Products Director at BigHand, comments: “Given the popularity of the Mattersphere platform across the UK & APAC legal markets, and the crossover with demand for BigHand SmartNote, the integration between the two solutions was a no-brainer. We are delighted to announce the launch of BigHand SmartNote with Mattersphere and are excited to see our clients start to reap the benefits.”

The integration between BigHand SmartNote and MatterSphere follows a number of other BigHand SmartNote integrations, namely with iManage and Tikit Partner for Window. These integrations have come about in response to customers’ expectations for a seamless user experience between their leading legal solutions providers.
