Marlen is a Partner and member of the Board of Administration of Roca Junyent, as well as Director of the Litigation, Arbitration & Mediation Department at the Madrid office. In addition, she is Co-Head of the Innovation Department of the firm, which has been the winner of the Global Legal Hackaton for the past two years.
Outside the firm, she is a member of the Advisory Board of the Global LegalTech Hub, President of the E-sports Section of the Madrid Bar Association and Founder and President of Women in a Legal World, a non-profit association that aims to promote female talent within the legal sector, among others.
She has completed the Senior Management Program at Esade, the Advanced Management Program at Wharton and the Global Leadership Program at Harvard. She is also Co-Director of the “Legal Leadership Development Program”, jointly offered by Harvard Law School and Women in a Legal World.
Her successful career has led to the recognition from several international directories, such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers, who have selected she as a leading lawyer in her field. She has also been chosen as one of the 20 most important women lawyers in Spain, as one of the 100 most influential women in Spain and was awarded the Top 50 Inspiral Law Prize of Spain and Portugal, Top 60 Women in the Iberian Legal Sector and “Forty under 40”,by Iberian Lawyer. Recently, she has been named “Woman Referent of Innovative Entrepreneurship in Spain” by the Government of Spain and referent of education in Spain by the Committee of Experts of the National Congress of Excellent Education.
