Ian Jeffery – Independent Consultant

Ian Jeffery practised for many years as a specialist Intellectual Property and Technology lawyer before moving into business leadership.   He served for five successive terms as Managing Partner and later Chief Executive of Lewis Silkin, a leading specialist law firm.

Achievements in the Managing Partner role at Lewis Silkin leading the growth of the business by over 150%, overseeing international expansion, setting and driving strategic change and contributing to the firm’s national recognition as one of the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to work for, nine times in succession.

Ian has an MBA from London Business School as well as a Masters in Intellectual Property and Technology from Kings College London.  He has been a member of many editorial, advisory and judging panels as well as being a regular conference speaker and chair.   Away from professional services Ian is a Trustee of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Drawing on his multi-disciplinary background Ian is now working on a number of venture development projects as well as consulting assignments.

Annmarie Farthing – Director of Billing & Collections, Holland & Knight

With over 20 years in the legal industry, Annmarie has extensive leadership experience and knowledge of areas responsible for fostering successful client relationships and their impact on a Firm’s financial success.  Prior to joining Holland & Knight, she served as the Director of Client Services for a national defense firm, whose scope of services spanned various industries including, a large insurance defense practice.  Annmarie joined Holland & Knight in late 2019 as the Director of Billing and Collections.

In her role, she oversees all of the revenue management functions including, the Client Compliance and Audit team, formed under her direction in response to the rapidly growing challenges of complying with client’s outside counsel billing guidelines. Annmarie focuses on innovation and collaboration to seek opportunities to enhance revenue and increase realization, without compromising what matters most, the client relationship.


Paul Fisher – Head of Strategy & Enterprise Architecture, Pinsent Masons


Chad Schuessler – Head of Data Management, Pinsent Masons

Christine Smith – Principle Consultant, Aderant

Christine Smith is an expert in ebilling with a strong focus on law firm processes. She brings more than 30 years of legal and customer service experience to her current position as a Senior Consultant. Her previous background as a Client Account Manager and Billing Manager inside a law firm where she experienced, first-hand, the challenge that electronic billing can represent to law firms. This experience drives her to provide customers with the best information and experience possible on a daily basis.


Angela Huffman – Senior Business Consultant, Aderant

Angela brings a diverse background to Aderant as she lends 20 years of experience in accounting, billing, administrative services, technology and project management for a large law firm. Prior to Aderant, Angela worked as an eBilling coordinator, managing over 120 eBilled clients with outside counsel guidelines. From there, she became the project manager of the time & billing system migration project at the firm. During her tenure, she assisted in establishing best practices for the back office as well as paved the way to have the much needed position created for an Intake Specialist. Prior to leaving the firm, her T&B system project was ahead of schedule and under budget.
