Sarah Chipping (Chair)
Head of IT, RPC Tyche

Sarah has spent the majority of her career working in service delivery roles for law firms, including Clifford Chance, Freshfields and more recently Clyde&Co as Global Head of Service Delivery and at HFW as Head of Service Transformation. Sarah recently joined RPC Consulting as Head of IT which has been a transition in its self, now working for a Fintech business where innovation is at the forefront.

In addition to this Sarah has been instrumental in building the European presence of ILTA (International Legal Technology Association). ILTA is a US based organisation which sets out to be ‘the premier association for technologists in legal’. As part of this work Sarah set up and ran ILTA Special Interest Groups for System Architects/Operations, CISOs, Service Delivery and Knowledge Management. Sarah is extremely well connected in the legal community and excited for the future for law firms.


Abby Ewen,
Technology and Operations Director, Browne Jacobson

Abby is Director of IT at Browne Jacobson. Previously. she was IT Director at BLM for five years following 10 years at Simmons & Simmons where she was Director of Business Transformation. Prior to that she spent 10 years at Withers. Abby is responsible for aligning technology change across the firm in a strategic way, providing technology solutions and innovations for internal and external clients. Abby has a passion for business change and a desire to inspire this passion in others. Abby has a talent for reengineering roles, reshaping resources to satisfy new initiatives. She has the ability to see how the market is changing and how the business needs to change to be more effective and meet new demands. Technology plays a key part in the success of the firm.

Abby is a regular speaker and Chair at events and contributes to a number of Legal and Technology publications. Abby is a Director of LITIG, the Legal IT Innovators Group and is also on the CIO Advisory board of a global technology company.


Tim Nash, CEO
Edwin Coe LLP

Tim joined the firm in 2008. As Chief Executive at Edwin Coe, his goal is to ensure that the firm meets and exceeds clients’ expectations. This goal is met by hiring and retaining skilled and motivated lawyers and their staff, and ensuring the firm’s systems and processes allow them to deliver top quality service.

As the firms compliance officer for finance and administration, Tim is also responsible designing and maintaining many of the risk and compliance processes for the firm.

Prior to joining Edwin Coe, Tim was Group Financial Controller at Eversheds, responsible for statutory and management reporting, working closely with the directors of the various support departments.

Starting his career with Electronic Data Systems in their International Finance team and later leading the finance team supporting their CADCAM division in France, Tim further deepened his commercial experience by joining Nortel, also in France. After moving back to the UK in 1996 with Price Waterhouse (later PwC), Tim then joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s global litigation group as Business Support Manager, followed by a short stint at Clifford Chance as Head of Financial Operations.


David Robinson, Head of IT Security,

David Robinson MBE is the Head of Global IT Security for Herbert Smith Freehills, one of the world’s leading law firms, who advise many of the biggest and most ambitious organisations across all major regions of the globe. David leads the delivery and strategy for IT security services across the firm in a flexible and responsive approach to the business.

David has a wealth of experience gained from 22 years as a communications and electronics engineer with the RAF where he worked in numerous sectors including aircraft simulation, Radar, data handling & processing networks, training, procurement and information security; his military career was followed by a little over 16 years in senior security roles in the private sector with both C&W and Fujitsu where latterly he held various posts including company CSO.


David Fazakerley, 
In-House Legal CIO, CTS

David has been in Legal IT for the last 15 years, previously as Chief Information Officer at MW Solicitors, during which time he has demonstrated his proficiency in driving business transformation, delivering business revenue growth and new client services, reducing operating costs, driving profitability and facilitating rapid growth.
